Whale Watching

Hervey Bay is known as the whale watching capital of the world. It is just 10 minutes from Fraser Coast RV Park. Due to its sheltered location, Hervey Bay is the best place on Australia’s east coast to meet the mighty humpback whales. There are plenty of good operators from $95. Fraser Coast fishing

The great Sandy Strait at River Heads offers a maze of sandbanks, estuaries and reefs providing a huge variety of fish species to target, some of which are found in both fresh and salt water. Coral trout, bream, whiting, flathead, mackerel, tailor and mangrove jack are some of the most popular catches.  This is the most southern part of Australia where you can land a Barramundi.  Happy 2nd time guests pictured here with some beauties caught and released on soft plastics.
