Testimonials from happy campers left in the Bush Kitchen - more on our Reviews Page
This place blew my mind. I spent most of my morning exploring the beautiful nature reserve located right on the property. Not to mention the bathroom/shower facilities and kitchen area are brand new and incredibly convenient. Suzanne is an excellent host and has created a stunning campsite. Lisa 20/1/19

Peaceful bush camping away from the crowds
This is a very large property with plenty of site options - perfect for large RVs. The facilities are superb and the hosts take every care to ensure your stay is comfortable. As with most bush camping near water it's smart to be prepared with insect repellent and mozzie coils etc as they can be ferocious. A small set of shops services people who catch the ferry to Fraser Island is just a few minutes drive down the road. The nearest dog friendly beach is 10 minutes away just south of the marina. The nearest dump point is also back up at Hervey Bay. The kangaroos are easy to spot at the park and there's ample bird life given the proximity to the waterways. We'd love to return and maybe stay in the cosy Mango Lodge and maybe have some luck with the nearby fishing. Room tip: If you are self contained you can stay in your own private corner of the park. 5 STARS
Thanks for having us on your beautiful property. I was impressed by the craftsmanship of the camp kitchen and bathroom blocks. They were so nicely done with all those handy bits and bobs that are always forgotten.. Thanks again. Fiona
Brand new facilities, handy bush kitchen and lots of space for us. We had a great star gazing view from our campsite, was really great. Suzanne was a very welcoming host, I recommend this campsite! Christelle 30/12/18
Campsite is great and even better because we could take our dogs with us. The shower block and outdoor kitchen is beautifully crafted. We really enjoyed our couple of nights there
Great little gem
Great bush camp just out of Hervey Bay. Plenty of room to park vans etc, super friendly host (Susan) great walking tracks and plenty of wildlife. Dogs allowed and fire permitted, Secure place to leave your van and explore the area. Short distance to Fraser Island ferry. Only been running for a month and are in the process of amenities and bush camp kitchen. Loved the place now will be amazing when complete. Awesome now Definitely 5 stars when finished.
So very impressed
Popped in for a short 1 night stay but ended up staying 2. Was so thrilled to find a place I could bush camp and take my dog that also allowed fires and wasn’t over run with campervans and trailers. As a free form self sufficient tent camper wanting to connect with nature this can be hard when in popular towns. Thanks to the owners here the experience was private and natural. The facilities were the nicest I have ever experienced camping. As I mentioned, I’m self sufficient and rarely use facilities whether I’ve paid for them or not. The local billabong or beach become my shower, but the facilities at Fraser Coast RV Park were so clean, well presented and immaculately maintained I couldn’t resist using them. And they did not disappoint with a rainwater shower head and plenty of pressure. The camp kitchen provided a great cooking spot for those without gear or utensils, with a beautiful rustic feel. I just loved my time here. Unfortunately due to inclement weather I didn’t get to explore the walking tracks or billabong but I’ll be back, that’s a given!
